Functions of IQAC:

About IQAC:
           The accreditation status indicates that the particular institute meets the standards of quality set by the accreditation agency in terms of its performance related to the educational process and outcomes.
           The Internal Quality Assurance takes the responsibility of developing a system for conscious and consistent improvement in the overall performance of institute. IQAC is responsible for development, application and monitoring of quality benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities of the institution. IQAC is also responsible for development and maintenance of institutional data base through MIS for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing the institutional quality.
Functions of IQAC:
  1. Development and implementation of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  2. Development of Quality Culture in the institution and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  3. Conducting internal Academic as well as Administrative Audits.
  4. Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  5. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
  6. Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes.
  7. Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement and maintenance of institutional database for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality.
  8. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
Objectives of IQAC Cell:
  1. To ensure heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.
  2. To ensure internalization of the quality culture.
  3. To ensure enhancement and coordination among various activities of the institution and institutionalize all good practices.
  4. To provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
  5. To act as a dynamic system for quality changes in HEIs.
  6. To build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.
The basic purposes of the IQAC are:
  1. To ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution, and
  2. To assure stakeholders connected with higher education - namely, students, parents, teachers, staff, would-be employers, funding agencies and society in general - of the accountability of the institution for its own quality and probity.
  3. The IQAC will evolve mechanisms and procedures for ensuring the following:
  4. Timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  5. The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.
  6. Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
  7. Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
  8. The credibility of evaluation procedures.
  9. The adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
  10. Research sharing and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.
